I'm daring to put it in writing what everybody wants....YOG HOF'S....

I don't know when the last Yog HOF happened but the last one I remember was one by Sidekick back in 2016 when he was in the caves and I think it was a Delver was 3XX ped..he would need to confirm what it was..Anyway, I have no idea when there was one after this time. Since yogs are the most popular mob on Monria, could it be done to where there are more HOF's on them more than once or twice every couple of years?..Or how about a HOF on a Shoggath or Cultist? I know they happen with Cultists occasionally and I know its been posted on the forum section for HOF's and globals. Has there ever been a Shoggath HOF? lol..What would be a Shoggath HOF?..I got a global on one for 20 ped but they globals are usually 5-10 ped most of the time..I don't recall anyone ever mentioning ever getting a HOF on a shoggath but it would probably be like a 50-100 ped for a shoggath...lol

Well, what are your thoughts people of the Monria forum? I've only had my first hunting HOF recently paired with one other player with the Longtooth's on Caly. I have had them on group team hunts also with the longtooth and with the shubs once when we had a DME team hunt for them a while back. But I think most of us like to get the solo HOFS at some point especially when we are hunting a particular mob a lot.

Well, I'm tossing the idea out there in writing. It has been joked about a lot on the chats for forever and a day but no one ever put it in the suggestion area here as far as I know. So here it is...:)..lol

can't affect loot, that is MAs domain. There was at least one hof from the Yog wave event i know of.
Only way to increase the chance of a mob hoffing is to increase it's cost to kill. More ped in = more ped X multiplier when you get one.

Mmm...I.will be honest in that I don't get the concept of multipliers.. One of the reasons I posted was for MA to read this because they look over the forums to get player imput. It a big secret they keep about loot and globals and Hof's. "it's our policy not to discuss loot in game". But they allow written suggestions sent to customer support. EU had a kerb young (Lvl 2) on Caly hof a couple weeks back. So, my question why not a lvl 2 shoggath or any other mob? During hunting events, there is more ped going the game at that time but hofs still don't occur frequently at those times either. I guess the other question in the air is how different are they now after loot 2.0? Lol..More questions instead of answers here now....but could you explain "multipliers" using simple English..it would be easy to get caught up in the jargon and have it go right over my head again..Thanks..:)

As Noz said, MindArk controls the loot and the quantum mechanics that make mobs HoF. I think yesterday it was Shady who got a 1k loot on a Yog, and it was Max who got a 502 HoF during the 5th level of the Yog Wave a while ago, so it happens. I wonder if Ant would be able to extract the number of HoFs that happened with Yogs over a period of time just so we have a record of it and determine whether your estimate is correct or not.

I'll ask him, but not guaranteeing it will be done. He's pretty busy with development right now. :)

Ok. Usually I see a lot globals on chat but not as much in hunting HOF. It is not a major issue if Ant doesn't have the time. Obviously. I don't know everything and I don't see every global. I missed those Hof's you mentioned...both Noz and you DME.lol..It might be just me too. I see a lot of success from players in a lot longer in game than me. I have put in a lot of time daily both in mining and hunting but I know I have not had a solo hunting HOF yet at lvl 27 laser sniper or a mining tower at level 27 miner which is considered "proficent" and I am moving closer to the 2 year mark. I am all for putting time and effort to attain anything worthwhile including gaming. My skills are at the level of a 4_5 year player due to putting in a lot of enjoyable but seriously focused time each day. Lately, it just seems the more effort I do in mining or hunting, the further back higher goals like solo hunting hofs or mining towers seem to be. Don't know if anyone else has been feeling that way but I try to be an open book to people.

Hah, i have never towered either and i have higher mining skills than you. It is all dynamic so they say.
Only sure thing is you will in the long run come back with roughly 90% tt of the tt you put in.

I accept i will make a loss hunting, mu is just not there, so i use mining, my shop and my deeds to help cover those losses.

Just aim for high mu when mining. That is the key if you want to profit at mining.
112% is the magic number. If you can hit an avg mu of 112% you should break even. 112% should cover your 10% long term losses and mu on finder. If you amp you need a bit higher mu to cover the amp mu.
Try and avoid taxed areas. If you are paying 5% tax then that is gonna drop your long term returns from 90% to 85%
I have spots mining where i can hit 115-120% avg mu. That ensures a profit long term from my mining.
Sure sometimes i like to gamble throw on a big amp, never seems to work out though :p

The big hofs, they are usually what we call balancers, to bring someone who has lost a lot back up to their 90%
Gambling is illegal in a lot of countries where this game is played. If it was all a casino, Mindark would be in trouble.

I'm guessing you know how to manage your bankroll and assess your risk of ruin.

You gotta make your own luck in this game.

DISCLAIMER - This is theory. A lot of tests have been done, but unless Mindark ever says anything all we can do is guess.

Big multipliers happen with increasingly higher levels of mobs.
In the old days you could hof on an atrax young (calypso mob), it's a level 7 mob. Now hofs start from level 20 up usually.
Yogs are level 3/4, The level 13/21 Yogs should be able to hof, but there is no think spawn of high level yogs, making it hard to "buildup" loot.

With the reconstruction we've been doing on Monria, we also reworked the mobs with regard to levels and stats, and spawns are progressively positioned around the craters according to levels. We also increased the normal spawn level with all mobs as well, so there are more. In the South end of the South Crater, the level 11, 16, 18 Yogs can be found, and the 11s and 16s pop pretty frequently. The level 18 isn't so scare either, but there's also a level 24 Broodmother that cycles.

There are no level 13 or 21 Yogs, and just the one level 19 boss Yog-Sothoth that comes out to play during events.
